About the HDI Local Virtual Community
HDI Local Chapters have been the cornerstone of the HDI community for over 25 years and have influenced the industry through regular events and discussion at the local level. It was sheer coincidence that our Virtual Community was relaunched in February 2020. Since then we have held monthly, interactive video events presenting content on a variety of topics, such as:
- Customer Experience
- Knowledge Management
- Career Advancement
Our community's strength lies in the diversity of our members, who come from a range of companies and organizations throughout North America. The secret to our success is consistency: regularly scheduled events that provide a way for members to connect, learn, and share.

To create and nurture an online community where HDI members around the world can come together to learn about and share experiences on topical issues that affect the world of support.
About Community Events
Virtual Community events are one hour long and conducted via Zoom. Upwards of 100 attendees join via video and enjoy networking before starting the monthly topic. Event formats vary: speaker presentations by industry experts, panel discussions with topic specialists, and round tables with peers. These formats allow members to learn best practices as well as work with others to solve real-life challenges.
About Community Leadership
The Virtual Community is led by seasoned local chapter officers and committed HDI members, and supported across North America by the HDI Local National Officers.
